Preserve CLI maintains the identification of the original CLI across VoIP call transfers and forwards, important for maintaining security, billing, compliance, and transparency.

How To

  1. Select Switchboard > Number.

  2. Select Inbound > Preserve CLI.

  3. Click on "Save" to update settings.

 

Preserve CLI

  1. AParty - Jack calls Wendy

  2. BParty - Wendy has a Call Forward to Roger

  3. CParty - Roger is presented with Jack's CLI

 

NB - Without Preserve CLI Roger only sees Wendy's CLI (the Bparty).
