Caller ID & Privacy

Get full control over the number that recipients see when you make outbound calls. You can present yourself as:

  1. A non-account number: a number that is not in your account (in this case, you’ll need to validate the number to make sure you have access to the number you’re presenting as)

  2. A number on my account: another number from your account;

  3. My number: the actual number you’re calling from

  4. Block my number: a blocked number (hiding your identity).

Please note that this will also affect your Caller ID – the name people see when you make a call – based on the number you’re presenting yourself with. To change the text of the external Caller ID, and the internal caller name people see when you make a call, check out the Setting up your Caller ID article.

How to set it up:

  1. Switchboard  > Select the number you want to connect to the feature.

  2. Select Outbound > Caller ID & Privacy.

  3. Configure.

  4. "Save" to save your changes.
